Have you tried It can really help you get the perfect one for your body.

The first time I ordered a corset from an online shop, I thought everyone used the same size, so I didn’t think the size was going to be a problem until it was delivered.

I was excited because I had finally gotten the Corset I had always wanted but my excitement didn’t last long. I was disappointed when I found out it wasn’t my right size.

And I also knew I couldn’t return it.

Later on I found out I wasn’t the only one who had issues with buying the right sizes of corsets, my friends and I were also in the same league.

Later on I did a research on how I could find the right size of corset for myself which of course helped me greatly.

I decided to enlighten people on how to make good choices when choosing a Corset and things to consider in getting their right size of Corset.

So now, I’ll be sharing with you how to make the right decision so you can buy a corset that will fit you properly especially when you’re buying for the first time.

I've been wearing Corsets for the past 3 years now. So, be rest assured because I know a lot now.

For someone who wants to buy a Corset for the first time, the questions lurking at the back of their mind will be; will the corset be a perfect fit, how do I know my size and how do I get it.

Things you will need.

First of all, what you need is to a measuring tape.

Writing materials like paper, pencil and string.

Every lady has her own size and you shouldn’t be ashamed of it. Lying or speculating about your size will only make you feel uncomfortable when you buy the corset because it won’t be a perfect fit.

It’s either too tight or too big which of course won’t give you your desired body shape.

But the most important thing is knowing your size which is where your measuring tape comes in.

After you’ve made a list of the parts of your body you want to measure with your paper and pencil.

Use the measuring tape to measure those parts and you should not hold the tape too tight when measuring those parts.

At least, you should have an extra ½ inch on every measurement so it won’t be too tight

It’s actually better if you can get someone to help you out with the process so as to get the correct measurement but it doesn’t mean you cannot do it yourself.

After you’ve measured each part, write it down on your paper so you won’t forget and make sure you do that for each part you measure.

The parts which you’re meant to measure

  1. Bust

This is the length of your breast and your back around. When measuring the Bust, start at the front and make sure the tape isn’t too loose. When you get the figure, write it down immediately.

  2. Bra line

The place beneath your breast is called the bra line. And remember, when measuring it; make sure the tape isn’t too loose or tight.

  3. Waist

Your waist is the place above your Hips. Wrap the tape around you not too tight or too loose and when you get the figure, jot it down.

  4. Lower waist

Measuring the lower waist is for women who are a little bit on the heavy side. Most times, there is usually a chunk of belly fat around that area, which is why it is compulsory for it to be measured. Women with a small sized waist do not need to measure that.

  5. Hips

This is the bone beneath your waist line and it is always by the side. For some people, the hip bones are usually noticeable while some can have smaller hip bones. The point is, everybody has hip bones no matter how small.

Wrap the tape around your hip bones and buttocks and after getting the figure, write it down. These are the few things you need to do in order to get your right size of corset. In fact that’s pretty much everything you need to do.

So, when you want to get your corsets, check for the sizes written on them and since you already know your size it will enable you compare the sizes with your own measurement. When choosing a Corset, it must be 2 inches lesser that your own usual waist size. But for large women, it must be 2 inches lesser. The corset you choose must be according to your height too. For people who are tall, it is advisable to go for Corsets that are longer and for women who are short; it is advisable to go for shorter corsets because choosing a longer Corset will make you look shorter.

For large women, it is advisable to go for longer corsets too. Shorter corsets will make you look like you’re bulging out of the corset and your cloth. It can be very embarrassing.

When trying to wear your corsets, do not forcefully lace together. If you do, it will bring you more harm than good. For example, the corset might give way when you’re in a very important meeting and I’m very sure you don’t want that to happen. You might also not be able to breathe properly. If you’re having problem lacing up, it means the corset is too tight, so get another one.
